not really just make sure u don't get that watery and wet foam cuz that just wastes the water and lower the skimmers performance. Make sure the foam is thick and colored.

was just told by red sea to turn it to 7 o clock and let bubble line be 1/4 below the O ring.. doing that is nuts cause it is nothing but water flow then. But lift the cup a bit and you can increase a bit more

I used to use a prism and seaclone skimmer, both are useless for anything bigger than 30 gallons and both are in the trash.  I had same problem with my prism.  Here are some fixes to the problem: adjust the water flow so the water line is just below the o ring, 2nd make sure there is no lime build up at the plastic nipple opening where the venturi air line connects to the motor,  this is a common problem, I used a small nail to clean out the nipple opening once a month and it would correct this problem,  third dont add any chemicals because it will make your skimmer over skim with bubbles.  One last suggestion which will also cut down on the jet engine noise these skimmers make is to take the air intake adjustment valve from your sea clone skimmer and attach it to the air intake line of the prism, this will give you some fine adjustment control of the skimmer and also cut down on some of the sucking noise the skimmer makes.  Let me know if this helps.

Oh, one last thing, if you are not using RO water and are using tap water and are adding a dechlorinator with a slime coat additive switch to another type of dechlorinator, the slime coat addatives will cause the problem you are describing

yup.. that was the problem i believe. i noticed the bubbles when i mixed up my fresh water for fresh water tank. i noticed that the slime coat additive created tons of bubbles when i added water. the problem has disipated with my prisim although i like it better than my sea clone was.

    thanks for the tip though.
