probe fired or pulse start?

"Make sure your bulb matches your ballast. Bulbs for a probe fired ballast willl not last long in a pulse start for instance"
So does anyone know which type of balast the JBJ K-2 Viper has?
Also how do i find out if the bulbs i want to buy for them are the right kind, to match the balast?

 

A google search for "compatible bulbs JBJ K2 viper" sounds like a good start. I haven't tried, but I'm guessing it'd be helpful. Or how about finding the Viper fixture on any aqua-vendor's site. There's bound to be a list of bulbs near it somewhere on at least one of the sites, I'd think. Good luck with the search, crusty!
