Over the past month as my Hawaiian Black Trigger has grown bigger, he has gotten more and more aggressive with regard to the food. Now he has begun eating all the green algae which I put in for the tangs. He gobbles it all in big chunks. I have tried separating it into two clips and even in pieces, but he rushes from place to place grabbing the whole thing in his mouth. He also "poops" more than any fish I have ever had.

Is there anything I can do other than get rid of him?

well he is a trigger and this is typical behavior. IMO you are going to have to sacrafice the trigger or the tangs. I don't know that both will work.

Thanks for the input, but I thought I had done adequate research before I purchased it. All the sources I read said that the Black Hawaiian trigger was one of the most compatible of all the triggers and no where have I read that it will eat algae. I just rechecked on the internet and it say it is totally a carnivore. So I am confused. Am I feeding it enough or too much? Do I need to change its diet? Is there a way to isolate it when I feed the rest of the fish?

While your trigger might be one of the most docile triggers, even the most docile trigger will be utterly nasty. Also, fish don't eat what they eat in the wild in captivity. While triggers may need meat to stay alive as this is what they need to live in the wild and tangs may need veggies to be healthy like they do in the wild, tangs will eat mysids in captivity and triggers will eat veggies.
