    Here is a photo:

You can see that the two stalks on the left look fine. The two on the right do not look right. Not only are the tentacles withdrawn, there is reddish looking tissue in its place.

I guess my biggest concern is if it dies, will it hurt the others? Should I take it out of my tank & put it in QT?

    Thanks!

I swear the pic was there! It disappeared :(

I think the other branches will not be affected just by the dead one, but we need to figure out why it happened so we can prevent it from happening again. How long have you had it? Is it on the bottom of the tank?

I've had it just a little over 2 weeks. It is on the sandbed in the middle of the tank.

is there any way you can get it up a little and still be in low flow? I know you have the 150's above the 90. What depth is the tank? 21 or 24 inches? I doubt lighting is what has caused this but it wouldnt hurt to move it up a little for long term happiness.
My concern now is the reddish stuff you spoke of. Any way you could get a decent pic of it?

I can try to put it up higher. I'll also try to get a better picture.

Or just google "brown slime disease", there may not be a need for another pic. Make sure thats not what you are seeing...

I'll look up brown slime disease. In the meantime, here is the best photo I can get for now:

I read about brown slime disease, but I don't think that's it. It's more like thin layers of skin.

It's gone downhill fast in the last 3 hours.

BTW, thanks for your help ;)

OK, my next question is this: Was the coral exposed to air/taken out of the water, at all? Like when you bought it and the fish store took it from their tank and put it in the bag? Or maybe when you took it from the bag and put it in the tank?
And one other thing I am thinking of: When you placed the coral, did you just touch the skeleton or did you happen to touch the coral's flesh near the skeleton where the head forms?
