problems with my berlin x2 venturi please help

    I just bought the Red Sea Berlin X2 Venturi today. I hooked it all up and plugged in the pump but its makin a loud noise and is not filling up the chamber with water. Any suggestions? Did i do something wrong? Please help.

    It says in the manual to reduce the flow when your skim has to much water.

    no but the chamber doesnt even have water in it or anything and the pump is louder than it should be.

    It sounds like your impeller might be broken or have something in it.

    What pump are you using? Can you open it up and clean it and make sure the impeller is in good shape?

    Thats what it was, the impeller was broken. The place i bought it from gave me a new impeller and now it works like a charm.
