This is not about the carbon (tank is really clear) but do you have an arch of LR in the middle? The aquascaping looks awesome.

Yup yup, a nice little arch that my Hoeven's wrasse likes to hang out. I have been trying to open the aquascape up a bit. I will be sure to post some more pics of the rockwork after I clean it up a bit :)

As for the carbon setup, I am actually only using it in this little Current surface skimmer (the little black block thingy in the top right of the tank). Its small but really skims the stuff off the top of the water really well.

Speaking of surface skimming, my RSM seems to have horrible surface skimming - the surface of my water collects dust and it doesn't get filtered out so well. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hmm does it have a surface skimming part? I know that my bak-pak does not...however I know that little overflows are sold for skimmers.
