    seed rock

I got a seed LR from lfs, I also put a shrimp in the tank. Should I give my lights full cycle from the start or just gradually run them? Is this a good idea doing both these things before the tank has cycled? Thanks!!

No need to run your light constantly without corals yet. You will only speed nusiance algae growth. Speeds coraline as well but that take month anyway.

You can turn lights on. it wont hurt. I just meant coraline takes months to spread, even with the lights on. nusiance algae takes weeks. if that. however you where to expect an algae bloom at some point or another anyway. I rum my daylighrs from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM. my atinics from 11:00AM to 11:00PM and my moonlights from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
