Well I finally had some time to upgrade my sump today. I went from a 20L to a 40B. The baffles were done 3 months ago, and it has been sitting in the garage. I added a fuge section to this one for chaeto since I recently added a mandarin to the tank. I also added a stronger pump, and I went HUGE on my skimmer. I went from my SWC 160 to a SWC 230. I made my skimmer section 14"x16" and it just fits! This thing is a beast!

    Thanks!

I have had a major setback though to my "progression". AEFW has gotten into my tank.

I am currently setting up a QT for all my acros, hence the upgrade of the sump. I am going to use my 20L and old skimmer and use on another 40B to house them through the dipping process.

UGH is right. But I plan on attacking this thing head on. I have already dipped once and removed eggs on what I dismounted so far. I have 3 colonies that I havent broken free yet, simply because I have nowhere to put them once I do.

The 40B will have good lighting and good filtration. I think it is very important given what I am having to QT for the next 7-8 weeks. It is just killing me to have to kill off so much encrusting acro left on the rocks once I break them off.
