    Over a 1000 watts of light!

I'm going to have to do some serious acclimation.

I struggled with going over to halides, because of heat and cost of bulb replacement. But this fixtures cost $2,600 new, and I acquired it for much much cheaper. The cost was a no brainer decision but I am such an acro/SPS freak, it kinda makes me justify things in order to attain amazing color and growth.8)

Oh yeah! is right! I am thinking the exact same thing. When I scour the forums for amazing tanks filled with massive acro colonies, it seems the majority of them run MH. So I am going to give them a shot and see how I like them.

^^^ this. I know the feeling. I think MH grow things far better than LED and I am an LED guy.

Same here. I love MH, but I just can't deal with the heat in the house and tank; it's not very practical in the desert.

I am not getting rid of my T5 fixture just in case it becomes an issue with heat. I figure that since I'm moving into a new place I'll just use the fixture for heat this fall and winter. :)
