The acans do not like a lot of light if the are lords and let you know in a hurry. Those caps are sweet. Congrats on the dosers.

I have dropped my daylights down to 5 hours and am building back up slowly. They are a good 2 feet from the light, and the PAR meter is telling me about 150-155 in that area. I am wondering if the change in bulbs are causing them to be unhappy too. Being that I have never run blue plus or purple plus bulbs before.

I am leaning to the PAR being the issue. I have my bulbs 28" above the sand and am considering raising them to 30" to keep the color on my less light loving corals.

The new spectrum could be an issue. I am thinking the Purple Plus over the Blue Plus. What were the bulbs and their spectra before?

before I was running a 4 bulb fixture with a blue lumenbrite LED strip.

the last 5 months bulb combo were 2 geissmen aquablue plus and 2 ATI coral plus

Now it is 1 geissmen aquablue
    2 ATI blue plus
    2 Coral plus
    1 purple plus

Beautiful colors, you may have too much red spectra in your lighting. That may be a cause of the color problem or sensitivities.

Looks like a turaki. Is it Hawkins? Turaki for sure, if so.

    Very nice corals however. :)

What bulbs should I replace with what John? Because I have since moved the acans down to the sandbed, and they are still not happy. I do have a 48" blue LED strip over the tank as well, which is probably making it appear more balanced than it really is. I was thinking of replacing the geissmen for another Blue +????

Current order from front to back:
    Geissmen Aqua Blue + (daylight)
    ATI Blue +
    ATI Coral +
    ATI Purple +
    ATI Coral +
    ATI Blue +

    Thanks Hunter.

You know, I'm not really sure if this is a Hawkins or not. I was told that it was, then I was told it was just a no name lokani. Either way, this coral is one of my favorites for sure. I did just recently had to break off the colony and move it. It had grown to where it was getting blasted by my MP40, and a few of the branches died. I moved it down lower, with a less flow just 2 days ago. Hopefully it will be happy there.
