    Hi!

I've heard of people taking a piece of corraline algae, scraping it up in a dish, and then pouring it over their tank. Does this really work to propagate the corraline algae? Has anyone had a positive results with this method?

    Thanks!

Idk if it actually works but it cant hurt. A better option would be just making sure all your levels are good. Calcium, alk, mag... If these are good, it will come eventually.

Yes, just make sure to turn off your filters/skimmers for a good hour or so after you do it.

Breaking it up or scraping will work. Basically, you want to release the spores in the coralline and they will help to grow more coralline.
