    I love Texas.

my castle is wherever I happen to be. and it covers anything I own.

it is my prerogative if I want to use this in the protection of others and their property.

All these "if" scenarios are dangerous. By the time you realize "if" the thug has a gun... It's not like you can stop and think. Adrenaline is pumping, nerves are on edge.

I realize in some states these "if" scenarios are very relevant. That doesn't make them any less dangerous IMO.

Any thug has a weapon. It's a safe assumption. If nothing else, they can strangle you with their bare hands or lean over and grab the lamp in your living room or the tire iron in your back seat, even a pencil in their pocket is effective at shanking. Who knows if there's a pocket knife somewhere.

I'm not interested in a "fair fight" with a thug. Overwhelming force is safest for the victim (you/me). I don't even want a scratch...

Texas is all about protecting property as well. You can even shoot 'em down in your driveway as they're trying to leave, if you think there is no other way of recovering your property. There was some nightime stipulations, though. I honestly forget what they are, but I had a Permit to Carry in Texas. As long as my stereo is in your arms... it's GAME ON!

Texas = shoot first, ask questoins later. if its dark, find them with a flash light - or the laser on my .40
