Try getting your online company when you need a tank sitter and there is nobody that you know that can do it. I still am a firm believer in supporting your local guy.

Meaning the store you buy from online wont help you with things like watching your tank if you are out of town. But if your lfs is like mine they are always willing to help. That was what that meant.

LFS I am really good friends with an lfs owner and I work for him. I've seen the hell this guy goes throught to keep his specimens healthy to make sure his clientel get a great piece whether it be coral or fish. Are dry goods more expensive there?? HELL YEAH ! It costs a ton of money to upkeep a fish store and when you can't order 600 penguin power filters at once, you pay more for them than the online places or big box stores. If I were you (everyone out there) I would make my purchases at my LFS if you like them and they are good to you. Most are on the brink of going out of business right now. this is a luxury business in a recession. It's not easy

I never bought online but I am going to be getting a Superman Monti. Fish I feel safer going local and seeing him and driving him home in an hour. Corals I will take a chance on. They don't get ick. I am ordering from Divers Den Live Aquaria. They are a reputable and large company.
