I have a 60 gall. will get australian rainbow fish and live plants and I was told that if a hurricane hits and the power is out for a long time, I should get a UPC to keep the canister filter running. I can't have a generator in my condo. I live in Florida.
    Any suggestions?

Dr fosters has a battery powered airrator, I assume oxygen is the main problem in a power outtage. It only runs about six hours though, you'll want to stock up on batteries.

Thank you. I'm also thinking about a battery that backs up the filter....I thank you for your suggestion,

I don't even know whAt a mechanical generator is. I guess if it doesn't run on fuel the condo would allow me to use it. As long as there are no fumes I don't see why not. Where can I get them?
