    Hey all,

I just read an April fool’s joke a few days ago and it made me realize that when I setup my tank. I put nothing on the bottom (aside from sand) to buffer or protect the bottom of the tank. Now while my rockwork is currently stable, however I live in California, and we just had an earthquake last month. So my question is, how can I add protection to my glass when the tank has been going for almost a year? Re-aquascape and place some egg crate down? Superglue the LR together?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You can epoxy some of the more unstable pieces together. The key thing is to make sure the way you stack the rock is stable. If that is stable and if you shake it or try to move it, it doesn't move, then you should be ok.

i wouldnt recommend disturbing the sand bed in a tank set up longer then a year. but you can put polyboard(cuttingboard) under neath your sand
