May I suggest a larger tank? Over stocking is not healthy for your fish. A oversized protein skimmer is not the answer. Your fish will still be stressed.

+1 on dees' post for sure. See my tank stats. The 4 fish I currently have are approx 2.5-3.5 inches each. I have some wiggle room to add another ....2 at the most.

Im upgrading my skimmer as well ...the following was strongly recommended ...skimmer and surface overflow.

I'm trying to sell exactly what Sharkbate put a link to. Trying to sell an AquaC Remora skimmer, but it doesn't come with the powerhead

You can check out what I'm selling HERE if your interested let me know through PM and make me an offer. Thanks

overstocking wont be solved with a skimmer, but the coralife super skimmers do work well and can be setup HOB.

in terms of HOB skimmers, the best IMO:

    Deltec OCE600
    Deltec OCE300
    Bermuda Rogue
    Octopus HOB Skimmers

Way too many fish in that tank, take some out & you'll have a much happier tank

A few days ago you said you had an 80g DT now it's 31g? If you truly have those fish you listed in your 31g in that thread, you're really setting yourself up for a crash: http://www.3reef.com/forums/tropical-fish/would-these-fish-ok-together-93594.html

I see you are younger, but if you keep adding fish and then try to support the overload by having a huge CUC & skimmer, it won't fix the problem. Take it from me, I'm 7 & I got it down!

WOW... I wanted like 4 fish in my 29 and I thought I was pushing it.

Hang on Skimmers are very iffy in my experience. You either have great luck with them or they do little more then push water around. I would try the new Octopus skimmers ( I love them now lol.)
