120 gallon reef only. What protein skimmer will be most efficient? Budget is 400 bucks. Looking for reliability and quiet operation. Looking at a Reef Dynamics INS 135. What do you recommend?

Reef Octopus XP-2000. $399 and a fine skimmer. I have it and love it. Tatted4ever has it too.

I want to start a 55 gallon salt water tank, has anyone heard of a eco aqualizer? and what else will I need for the tank other then the usual salt water, pinguin bio filter, live rock and live sand? I have seen two of my friends salt water tanks and the algee is very nasty looking but when I have looked at pictures on this site the water is very clear and beautiful, that is how I want my tank to look what are some pointers to keeping it clear? Thamk you.

Cain't go wrong with Bubble Magus. I run a BM100 now and have no complaints. But, I am looking at starting a 120g soon and will be switching to an SWC skimmer. I have seen one in action and was really impressed. If my memory serves me correctly they are a 3reef sponser!

The Reef Octopus Extreme 160 Protein Skimmer seems to be all the rave. From all the reviews I've been reading this skimmer seems to be the cat's meow. Your thoughts???

Your memory is correct. The Xtreme 200 would fit your application very well and leave you some money left over for frags!
