Protein skimmer overflowing

    Either that, or turn down the air intake to the point where it's not overflowing. You need a slime coating, so it has to run and get wet.

    Ball valve is open 100%, cant control the air intake.

    Then let it overflow, and build up that layer.

    I'm breaking one in on my nanocube and having to adjust it frequently,give it a few but no matter how fancy of a skimmer you can buy,they all have to"season"before they will start working properly.

    I guess its just been so long since I had a new skimmer and I forgot the trouble I went though with my coralife. I just hope this one works out cause its like a 300 dollar skimmer that was included with the tank.
