Has anyone here had any luck at all with any of the Jebo skimmers, the 180 looks like a seaclone and I'm not sure it would do much, there is one that's kinda like a bakpak that im not sure about and then there is the Jebo 182 which is some kind of quad spray skimmer. I've tried to find out what it's designed to copy and cant find much. I'm running a 56 gallon, these are both designed for 150+ gal (inflated of course). I'm not going to have any sloppy eaters (puffers/eels the like) just looking at having about 24" of damsel and a pair of maroon clowns.

I bought the Odyssea PS 180 once, which is the same thing as Jebo and my conclusion is that its a P.O.S. Couldnt get it to work properly, always had to "tune" it in, but never worked anyways. Some say that they have it and it works, but after some modifications. IMO, a good skimmer should work from the getcko and should not need any modifications.

I agree, someone is giving me a 22V from aquatic life support, so as long as I can figure out a way to fit it in my stand and make it work "out of sump" then that'll be that. Any idea of that's a decent skimmer, and if I cut down the reaction tube an inch or two would it still be an okay skimmer ;)

Im assuming that "22V" is a Jebo skimmer? Never heard of it.The only thing that you "should" do to a good skimmer is adjust the air intake, raise/lower the riser tube or open/close the gate valve. Thats it. Adding an air stone, cutting this or that, buying a mod kit or needing a genie, should not be part of the solution. If you want some free advice, dont go cheap on the skimmer. If you cant afford it right now(very understandable) save some $$$ and buy a good one. There are two initial pieces of equipment that you should not skimp on. 1. is your lighting system and the other is a good skimmer.

    Look into Bubble Magus skimmers.
Probably the highest quality skimmer you can get for the money IMO...

No no, the 22V is made by Aquatic Life Support. With a Rio800 its rated for 125 gallons and with a GenX1000 needlewheel its rated for 150 gallons. Someone has one they will give me for "future frag consideration" I just need to buy a pump. Its a 22" tall in/out of sump skimmer. I cant find much retail info as ALS is wholesale only, but It looks well built and he's running one on his 55 gallon and is happy... I'm off to pick it up in a few minutes. I was hoping someone here knew something about it and what pump would be the best to buy (Free skimmer means I can spend 50 bux on a pump w/o blinking too much)
