    Would it collect cat hair??? Seriously, that stuff is a PITA and the only way I've found to get rid of it is to syphon it out! My kitty loves to watch the tank...

    I have found that macroalgae will grab it from the water column and I can just clean it off the plant every day or two (yeah, that's fun).

    Me personaly I would just get rid of the cat!lol! But thats just me. I've been using an AquaC Remora on my 55g and I LOVE the thing. It does exactly what the ad says. "It blows the waste out of the water." Its a little more pricey than $25 tho. I think about $160. I'm sure you could find one cheaper on ebay.
