What protein skimmer would y'all recommend for a 210 gal with a 55gal refugium? I thought of also adding a 30 gallon frag tank to the system as well is that a bad idea? Should the frag tank be separate from the display and refugium? Do y'all know much about Bashsea skimmers? They are very pricey, but they appear to be very good.

Is that similar to a Bashsea or the one toallhisdoom showed me? That skimmer looks very nice. I wish these lager units weren't so darn expensive although it seems most of the time you get burned with cheap/sub par products....

The Bashea is a very nice design for a beckett. I have not seen one in person so I cannot speak to their quality (no one in CA would dare to run a beckett skimmer because high energy costs). I have seen the Barr Aquatics skimmer and it is the best beckett skimmer I have ever seen. None of the needlewheel skimmers mentioned are even close to comparable to the performance of that Barr skimmer.

Skimz is a high quality skimmer brand. There is a large group of people here on 3reef that have Warner Marine skimmers which are Skimz at heart. (Myself, Grimm, Vinny, cosmo, etc....the list goes on and on)

You could message john Warner to see if he has anything or could reccomend one of his skimmers.
