Power heads , - there are some that would say, you need enough water flow to equate to 50 times your tank volume - so if you have a 150 gallon tank - you could be looking for 7500 gallons of water movement per hour

you cant have to much flow, you can have to much flow in 1 direction - most corals, softies, shrooms etc wont want a heavy flow pointed directly at them

in your tank along with your return pump - I would spread the flow between maybe 4 Power heads - 2 close to the top on either side ( not pointing at each other)
and 2 smaller ones lower down to make sure there are no dead spots in the tank - so maybe one point behind the rock work and 1 pointing across the front of it

That does not seem like to much to me in your 150
placement and direction is key when you set them up
spread that flow about , but try and get some high flow areas for the corals that like a lot of movement and some more relaxed, but still moving areas so your shrooms and LPS dont stay bunched up for fear of being dragged off the rocks

you will know by the reaction of your corals if you have it right or not

ok so you think they will be fine as i wont be getting corals straight away, just fish then work up to the corals and inverts!

so if i put one top right and one top left but not facing each other then the two smaller ones one half way down tank facing behind the rocks and the other on the other isde of the tank facing in front of the rocks.

how would i protect my sand bed as i dont want a sand storm happening

Sounds great - dont point them downwards is best way to avoid sand stir up
Koralia are great because they spread water out nicely rather than force it out through round or square hole
