Protine Skimmer Upgrade 180 gal Aquarium

Hey Guys,
I think I am in the market for a new skimmer. My current setup is a 180 gallon with a 55 gallon half full sump. It currently has 11 fish 5 that are tangs and some mushrooms and Lps, I would like to get to some sps at some point. I currently have a Reef Octopus NWB-150 and I think the pump is going out and it's way under sized for the aquarium.

I am looking for some suggestions and here are a few that might be options.

Reef Octopus Diablo DCS200 In-Sump Protein Skimmer

Reef Octopus Diablo XS 250
Protein Skimmer

I choose those two because they seem to be the best bang for the buck. I really want to stay in the $500-$600 range but can be swayed. Any other options I should look at?

I have an Eshopps S-150 on my 125 and love it! I would say to look into either the S-150 or S-200. Both are within or lower than your budget.

Edit: Actually, if you search on Amazon, it looks like you can get an S-200 for $350 shipped, which is crazy good pricing!

 

I would like you to go with the DCS-200 Skimmer. This is the skimmer I am looking at getting, and I want someone else to be the guinea pig.

Seriously...you can't go wrong with any Reef Octo Skimmer. CoralVue's Customer Service is phenomenal! The quality you get for the price is second to none in my opinion.

 

That's funny I'm trying not to be the tester.

look into the aquqmaxx eccomaxx line, I just picked up the 300 for my 240 fowlr. I just got the tank wet so can't comment on it, but all the reviews were great..
