Ps3 vs xbox 360

PS3's run quieter and it takes a really long time for them to get to hot to play on, our's lasted nearly 5 years.

 

with all due respect xbox has gotten taken down more than that just wasnt publicized as much and my brother got the rings on more than just the 1st generation xboxs and has had an issue with his new black xbox

 

oh and also if you have a 3D TV they are 3D ready, pretty cool since they came out years before 3D games and movies were available to use on a tv(3D ready TVs of course)

I've watched more than a handful of 3D movies one of the best quality being Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp and some games are in 3D i know there are a bunch but the only one that comes straight to mind(because i play it) is Call of Duty: Black Ops

 

the poll said what would i get for "my" 10 y.o. also i mean in 3 years he/she will be a teenager and wanting cooler more popular games that his friends will be playing. Plus now you can watch all sorts of cool pixar bluray movies!

I also feel like a lot of the xbox voters haven't had the luxury of owning both systems side by side and getting the oppurtunity to compare identical games as well as specialty games(each system has their own line of games). Well I have and I think a lot of the other PS3 voters here have too and we all agree, it's a matter of quality over quantity. I've had 3 xbox's and only one ps3. They just seem to be built to last and like someone mentioned, stay cooler for longer.

 

Again on the cooler, and the "lasting" topic. Are you referring to the old style 360's or new? Because I have never heard of a issue with slims getting hot, loud, or not lasting.

 

i know my brother had to have his new slim xbox fixed already

 

There are people that have had broken PS3's as well doesn't mean they never happen but there are no major defects or issues with the new gen of 360's.

 

I had to take my first 2 xbox 360's back the NEW Gen also 250gb hdd but i finally got one that isnt faulty. I also have had all the PS3 systems no issues what so ever but you do get bad systems in every batch. Having to buy the 360 then pay another $50 a year to play on Live is kind of a pain also. It used to actually be an advantage because every game that was on LIVE actually had to have dedicated servers but not any more so you still get lag. You also get Lag with the PS3 you just dont have to pay for it.
