I've always wanted a clown hosting a nem, but currently I don't have a nem. My o. clown has never shown any interest in anything but the powerhead, which is where it sleeps at night. About 5 months ago I purchased a torch and the clown never showed any interest in that either, which was fine with me. The clown has been occasionally swimming through the tips in passing. Now after I moved the torch back towards a "cave" the clown has been in the tips about half of the day. Then when the lights go out, the clown is all over the torch, up until the point where all natural light disappears and the torch closes up for the night, then the clown is back to his powerhead. The torch doesn't seem to mind at all for now, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it. Idk, just weird how the clown only stays in the torch about half of the time. Here's a pic:

Thanks guys! I haven't figured out if I'm happy about it or not yet. Yes bc my clown is hosting but no bc I know that the torch could pay the price later on.

What do you think could possibly happen to the coral over time?

My male Perc has used my torch as host for almost a year now. He even feeds it. The coral doesn't care anymore and has split two new heads.

It all depends on the coral. Some take to hosting a clown while others will just close up from the agitation of having a fish swimming in them. In that case if they close up and the fish continues to try to get inside, then the coral and starve to death.
