I was in a boat once when I was a kid and the Boat's mate had a oyster toad to bite his finger off .. As an adult in my own boat I always used Kline's to pull the hooks out of their mouths and or pour rubbing Alcohol in there mouths first. I carried the Alcohol and Kline's all the time.. Oh Kline;s are electrical plier side cutters linemen Pliers all kinds of names for them. A finger would be not problem..

Imagine having to tell that story the rest of his life...

"I was poking at a puffer, well, I guess I pissed him off cause this (as he hold up his hand) is what happened! You know the real pisser? I didn't even get a picture of the bugger swimming off with my finger!"

Just a little humor for a gross picture!
