We had a turbo snail and other snail hitch hike from our LFS :p The turbo is long dead, but he lived a good life. His shell is now on the back of one of our larger hermits...the other snail is still alive and kickin'.

You'll see stuff come out eventually. Are you looking at the tank at night time? That's when your best chance of seeing stuff will be.

my pods seem to know when its really night time regardless of the light cycle. Once the room is dark sneak up on them with a torch!
stupid pods think they can hide from us lol

I had one crawl across my hand when I was aquascaping. I guess it depends on the live rock though. The rock I purchased had been in a huge tank at the LFS for about a year. No lights, just the rock and a monster powerhead, and a couple of fish.
I've read they are like bees in that there is one queen pod that is serviced by all the others, I could be wrong though. If you dont have any dont stress, im sure your rocks will have plenty of life in and on them that will show up in time.

We should research the lives and social structures of pods...we have several amphipods that chill out in mostly the same spot day or night in our fuge. They're kinda freaky, and yet very cool looking.
