    i was wondering myself, i haven't done any changes, i guess it's part of the cycling process, hopefully it will go back up

    i just bought my protein skimmer from aquacave.com. I bought the Ocotopus BH 800s HOB skimmer for $247.95 should be here sometime next week

    hows your flow rate? not enough surface movement or oxygen in the water can lower your PH I think? Skimmer should help that anyways. Eitherway theres no livestock so prob shouldnt be an issue at this stage.

    flow rate, i'm not sure, the only things that i have in the tank to get some movement are 2 maxijet 1200 and the filter, i'm able to see movement all the way down to the sand, not sure if that helps or not lol

    its more about surface movement when it comes to putting oxygen into the water, hopefully one of the guys with more XP can comment, but I like to have the surface folding over quite a bit. Has worked for all my freshwater tanks and is working well in my nano at the moment.

    Maybe aim a powerhead at the top so theres like a wave almost and then test the PH a couplea hours later to see if there is a change

    oh yea one more update, it's week 1 and still no sign of life :( no pods, no worms, no nothing

    thanks :D i hope corals will be ok on the rocks, i don't really have any flat places to put them, every single rock that i have is very curvey
