Big ask on the cycle being done by friday. Also if nothing is changing with your test for ages do a test on some fresh salt water, thats never touched aquariums.
I once thought my cycle was never happening, the colours on the test tubes always read a small amount of each, so i tested clean water and discovered my interpretations of the colours was all screwed up, and that infact all my levels were zero.

I agree with austeve on the test kits. Our old nitrite test constantly read 0.25, even though our ammonia and nitrates were at zero, meaning our nitrites had to be zero as well, especially after we watched them climb then fall off to zero. You nitrates seem a tad high for a cycle, but it could just be the flippin' beastly amount of rock you have in that tank :D

If I were you, I would take some sample water to your LFS and have them test it (most LFS's do this for free) and see if their numbers compare to your numbers. Your cycle should be dropping off pretty soon.

Also, be sure to not skimp on the lighting, but dont' crash your C.C. too. :p

ok, maybe it might be the test kit, then if the results won't change by friday. I hope to get more water next week at the new lfs since it's been evaporating, so i think i'll get my water tested *if they do that*

Just remember that when the water evaporates the salt doesn't so your SG will go up slightly from evaporation. Top off should be done with RO/DI water unless your SG is low for some reason. You may already know this but I didn't at first.

yea, i'm still trying to decide between catalina water which is kept at 1.023 or the RO water from the new lfs, i can't decide although i really would love to have NSW in my tank from catalina water
