no if you direct your flow correctly then you wont get and sand flying around. After a little bit, a bacterial film takes over your sand and really tightens it up.
The fish will be okay with the flow, they can always find some dead spots and it will give them a work out. For a sps tank this flow is good but more is also possible

 

Yea +1 to what dingo said. I have been getting some flying subtrate with the MP but not to bad. My clowns sleep by the filter sock, my wrasse in the sand, and mychromis likes to stay inbetween the heater and the back glass but that will probably change since the hydro is going in that corner

 

UGH the wait has seriously been KILLING ME!!!!! two more days until the girls get shipped and the Hydro arrives!!!! cant wait for tuesday morning to get here, i sooooooo hope their alive and well

 

just got my EVO it came two days early, im sooo surpised how small it is, i thought it was going to be bigger, its not much bigger than my nano

Wooohooo got the Evo early, and the girls will be there soon enough...and then can get more corals ;D is one consolation anyway.

 

yup! im hoping this cyano will go away with the added flow its whats stopping me from buying coral right now, im going to the LFS here in a little bit to buy water, i really want more coral, but with all this algae im afraid to get more so im going to wait and see if it goes away after a little while. I just wish i ordered two of these powerheads but deffiently not at LiveA's price, maybe when my LFS eventually gets them in ill buy one more, but i will wait and see if i notice any improvment with this one

 

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!! the new EVO OMG! this thing is amazing i have a CRAZY amount of flow in my tank right now, my tank is a really cloudy and has a bunch of crap being kicked up so hopefully everything will settle down i hope this is the cure for my cyano i dont know if ill be able to keep my LPS because of this i hope they will be ok

 

Maybe I should get an EVO - sounds great!! Almost Tuesday....!
