and some more pics, i'm not going to put it together until i'm ready to put fish in the tank, the thick tube doesn't fit in the space of my glass lid but the smaller tube fits fine, but i'll probably have to look into egg crate for a lid because of that.

And i added a piece of raw shrimp to get my cycling going

The shrimp is working! The shrimp is working!

    Tests readings are going down!!

    Testing Week 2:

    Nitrite: .5
    Nitrate: 20
    Ammonia: .25

I can't wait! maybe 2 more weeks and i'll be able to have fish!!!

I'm also getting coralline everywhere!!! i even noticed a tiny teal spot on one of the bottom rocks! this stuff is pretty cool! i can't wait until it spreads in bigger portions

So today i told my parents that when i move out of the house i refuse to sell this tank for next to nothing on craigslist. I then told them that i will teach them how to take care of everything, and that i should start teaching them now as the tank begins. They didn't say no about them taking care of it so thats good :D They seem to be taking interest in the tank. Today i showed my parents the possible hitchhiker coral, and they said is it good or bad, and i told them i don't know and that i would have to research about it. I showed my dad all of the coralline and he said that live rock is really neat because it is alive. So i think the tank is here to stay :D
