This has been suggested many many many times and it is very interesting how a full 1/2 day's worth of constructive criticism and suggestions to help the OP's "string of bad luck" magically disappeared overnight because it clearly wasn't what the she wanted to hear, or maybe because the comments weren't sugar coated and topped off with a nice bit of K+

It was perceived by OP as "bashing", and quickly made clear afterwards by many of the main contributors on this thread, that there were no bashing undertones in the comments. Quite the opposite actually, with good stern advice served in a fashion that didn't give OP warm fuzzy smiley face feelings.

It was then suggested how this thread could be perceived by an outsider visiting the forums for the first time after reading said comments. If anything, I thought it would be perceived as great advice and a good example of the "bad luck" you could experience if the sound advice of the very experienced reefers on this board, myself NOT included, was thrown by the wayside over and over again.

Whiskey, I could see how that kind of suggestion might seem like a new one as it appears all others like it might have somehow been deleted for some reason. FWIW, since my suggestion yesterday was also deleted, and to reiterate, I agree with Whiskey and the best course of action might be to leave tank alone for awhile and not add any more livestock until the underlying problem is found and solved. Going fallow for the 2-3 months and not adding any coral or inverts would if nothing else, give the tank a good chance of stabilizing and kill off any ich as they would need a fish for a host. I really hope the root of problem can finally be discovered.

And here's a smiley face for good measure -> ;D

I fully agree and have seen some really good advice on this thread given that hasn't been taken to kindly. I didn't mean my last comment to preclude this, but I do believe it to be a contributing factor.

I'm not convinced it's brooklynella either Tracy. The cloudy eyes sound like some type of a bacterial infection. I guess it could be possible that the ich bothered them so much they developed bacterial infections? I'm not really sure. Just an idea!

    How are the fish today?

I'm not sure how it could be growing considering that from what you've said, it hasn't opened up to feed since who knows when. If you're going to try to feed it, it's best to do it when the tank lights are out.

How do you figure if you've never seen it when it was opened up?
