Sorry Tracy. :( I know the LFS only has a 24 hour guarantee, but I would call them and complain and see if they will do anything. He wasn't a cheap fish, and I really think he was already sick when you got him.

the lfs where i bought him from had a bad rep already for always having dead/dying fish in their tanks, but i didnt want to pay for shipping and i didnt want to special order a midas from my other lfs, and they had him so i just bought anyways, im just not to sure i want to buy from them again, it was the first time i bought from them too.

another death in the tank today, it was my angel. I have no idea why he died, he was perfectly healthy the day before, eating great and everything. This morning i did not see him, he did not come out for any of the feedings, and my hermits were MIA. I came home from work an hour ago, he still was MIA so i moved around the rocks enough to scare him out if he was alive, no angel, and he did not come out, i also have not found the body either but im thinking the hermits finished him off.

I am at total loss of why he died, he was perfectly healthy, but what did seem odd is he always hid in the caves and always wanted to be clean by my cleaner shrimp. He looked perfectly healthy on the outside and was always eating, so im wondering if he had some internal parasite or something.

I also did a test of my parameters to see if anything was off, ammonia, nitrite were 0, nitrate 10, ph. 8.3, salanity 1.025

    RIP Chomper and Kula

I was looking at your pics and your angel didn't look great. It looked a little pale and had looked like it had ick perhaps. I don't now if it was just the pictures, but it could have been that. I would make sense that he was hanging out with the shrimp all day.

geez that really sucks puffer! 2 fishes lost in 2 days... maybe theres some type of hitchhiker in your rocks thats killing these fishes?? I hope you can figure it out, before adding anymore fishes.. just make sure to test your water daily for the next few days, dont want a ammonia spike.. :(
