drywall anchors or screws into the studs for them shelves if your going to be putting weight on them. !!

 

i told my dad about the using studs on the shelf to make it sturdier and he said he'll probably put some somewhere, so that the shelf will be able to securely hold the hanging light, i just wish i knew exactly what he's thinking so i can explain it better lol

 

so went to lowes with my dad and we got a time, 3 foot black chain, 6 closed "S" hooks 1 1/8" Zinc plated, 1/4 flat washers, 1/4-20x1-1/4 combo round w/nut zinc, hallow wall anchors. We found metal rods in the garage that were going to attach to the shelf and hang the light off of that. I don't have any other info of what he's going to do, but this is what he made me buy, for about $26

 

oh yea! the light is going up tomorrow! wish i had my laptop so i could post pics, lol looks like yall will have to wait till next week

 

so light is up and looks great. I have the timer set from 3pm to 10pm for now. The only issue with the light, is that it slightly tilts back because the light hits one of the tubes to the skimmer, but theres nothing that we can do about that. I'll take some pics when i get my laptop back next week

 

I have my fish!!!!!!! Their in my lap right now. I'll take pics when I get home

 

I also spotted what I believe are my first worms. I think their dead cause their not moving
