u can use a bucket for a sump and put a light over it with ur hob skimmer and wait just hear me out add rock rubble and chaeto

 

sounds like a good idea, but i don't think i could even get my skimmer through my stand, and make it accesable, i just really hate my stand. I have a pic of it at the very beginning of my thread, you can see how ****ty it is

 

ok well just leave the skimmer on the back until u and ur dad make u a stand and i know there is a big enough hole in the top back of that stand where you can run plumbing .and a 5g bucket will fit perfectly and add volume to ur tank plus more water is always a good thing biological filtration and chaeto u cant lose plus u can get ur pod population up and grow all the gha in the bucket and not in ur tank .....come oonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

 

lol making a stand is not going to be an option and yea there is a hole in the back of the stand. So with the bucket idea there might be a possibility i will have to think about it

congrats!!! i would have expected a greater reaction! well if you just bought it i guess i would understand, knowing you just took out a huge chunk of hard earned cash out of you bank just for something to move water takes time to settle with ya... but hey you wont regret it!! ;D (sorry if i made it worse LOL)
