Puffer Chick's 46 Gallon Bowfront Reef

thanks everyone! i just took some new random pics since the tank is 24hrs old, they'll be up in a sec, in the pics, you'll see the dying rock, red, and green stuff that's been growing on the rock

so here is the HUGE difference of the two tanks next to each other. This is going to be such a major change for my puffer, going from his little 20 gallon, to the massive 46 bow *at least it's massive compared to his lil tank. He was also sleeping when i took the pic, so that's why you can't see him

 

Looks good! Im sure your lil Puffer is going to be very happy with his new home. You did this transfer all by yourself?

lol the parents surprisingly helped, their all against fish stuff but they have now shown interest. They went with me to get the h20, lr, and ls. then they helped me carry the stuff upstairs. I opened the lr box, and called them lol "hey mom and dad look at this cool rock!" lol then they came up, and all of a sudden they seemed interested, and were wanting to help with the aquascaping! I was so surprised, but i did most of it, hehehe

 

Its a good thing that they( your parents) show interest, having two more sets of eyes is always a plus. Now the trick is to "teach" them how to semi take care of your tank. This will allow you to go on vacations with some piece of mind, if you kno what I mean

lol yup, now that they show at least a small amount of interest, who knows, i may be able to talk them into keeping the tank after i leave home in a couple years. I'd hate to spend all this money on the tank to only have it for 2 years or so then have to sell it cause i'm leaving home. So my plan is to start them early, lol i'll learn from you guys, then i'll be able to some what teach them myself

 

lol it was also funny seeing all of us covered in rock and live sand, along with my room and bed completley being covered in the stuff also it was funny
