haha i know, i was thinking about that when we were working on the tank, lol but then again our hands were all covered and dirty and we were all busy lol would have been great though taking a pic of that. Lol it was also funny when the scissors that were on my bed had sliced open one of the bags of ls, i had noticed it when it had started to spill out all over my bed and my mom and i rushed it over to the tank, so that there wouldn't be any more spilt sand because there was already a lot of sand all over my carpet and bed:D

its really noisy right now, especially with the water low at the moment with the filter running, but not to bad, i'm a light sleeper, but i get used to it. I'm also used to trains going by my house all the time so i guess when that got me used to sleeping through noise

I can sleep through just about anything...it's wonderful but potentially problematic.

yeah imagine if there was an alarm going off or something. I used to have a fishtank in my room but the water noise would make me need to use the bathroom.

Sorry for taking your thread off topic lol, I like the tank BTW!

Good be coralline algae? When we bought our rock we had reds, blues, greens, and even pinks in various places. Now we still have some red spots, mainly maroon color, and then we have the normal purple/blue people associate with coralline algae.

Or it could be cyano, or another type of algae forming. We had a pain in the butt issue with hair algae at the beginning of our tank's life. BLEAH.

yea, the red is really a maroon, then on one of the rocks there's this really pretty bright green spot, and a lot of lighter greens, i think i see a lot of hitch hiker coral on the rock, or possibly dead coral, i tried to take a pic, but when i zoomed up close it became extremely blurry.

i remember seeing your hair algae at the beginning of your thread, that had to really suck
