So i have had 2 young clowns together for about 3 months and the one is slightly larger and much more aggressive. They are both in a QT tank now after the dt they were in become infected with ich. The larger fish has been beating up the smaller one pretty good (fins are a bit ragged) I am trying to decide whether to separate the clowns and keep them apart or leave them together and hope they pair without killing each other.

In my opinion if they haven't tied the knot after a week of fighting, they should be separated.

Roger that, so no chance of them ever pairing up? And would you put them back together once they go into the 90g or leave them apart?

My guess is they are both on the way to becoming female. They may find separate corners in the 90 and chill out, but they won't ever pair up.

They for the most part they always stay near each other but the one has always struck at the little one but never caused damage to his fins. Since in qt though there has been noticeable damage to his fins. Still staying near each other.
