I got a Pulsing Xenia a few nights ago but it has really shrunk up. I think its dieing. I noticed my PH is a little low so i just dosed my tank with Reef Buffer. Just a few minutes after dosing i looked at the Zenia it started to release something like some kind of brown/red color... what is it, do i need to take it out of my tank?? Is it dead and releasing toxins?? Help please!

Katrina - can you get a picture up please, as judging the health of a coral
is not something I would want to do based on text alone

are you running carbon in your tank as if it is releasing substances that are going to irritate neighbouring corals, carbon is a must IMO

Xenia can be killed? Never seen mine release anything... but I doubt you killed it all the way. Stunted, maimed, stressed... yeah. But the stuff is tough to outright kill.
