Pulsing Xenia versus Ricordia

My pulsing xenia is growing closer and closer to a couple ricordia mushrooms in my tank. Will they kill eachother if they get too close to one another??

 

no, but the xenia might crowd out the ric. potentially starving it of light, etc...


about every 2-3 months I remove a lot of xenia from my system (trash can)... next tank... this stuff is going somewhere isolated if it goes in at all.


the xenia grows much quicker than the ric, I'd trim it back b4 the ric.

 

Thanks Peredhil. BTW, I saw you 55 gallon tank thread. Its looking great! Our tanks are the same size and I am also using two Koralia 2 for flow.

I have to constantly trim my xenias. They grow like weeds in my tank and I just lobed of 6 more branches the other day and gave them to a local reefer.
