    Mine also are doing well at 80deg. However, just because it did poorly at 74 doesn't mean that it is not a good temp to keep your tank at. Reef tanks are more about stability than parameters (within reason). I am sure if you decreased the temp by 1 degree a week until you got down to 74 they would still be doing good.
