Pulsing Xeniz Not Pulsing =(

    I wouldn't do it. Keep it in one spot so it doesn't take over.

    To frag it get a small plastic container like one of those small Glad disposable containers that deli meat comes in. Fill the bottom with live rock rubble or shells and put it in the corner of your tank someplace. Then cut off a stalk of Xenia and put it in the container. In a few days it will attach to a rock. The original stalk will have new small polyps pulsing away in about a week.

    Thanks pgreef ...I might get brave enough to do that soon. the current xenia I have have sprouted tiny polyps within themsleves in the short time Ive had them...very dense. As you stated @ the beginning of your post, I wouldnt want them overtake my small tank. hmmm

    iodide makes them pulse. if the levels go to low they stop pulsing. (there are other reasons, but assuming everything else okay, iodide makes them pulse)
