I am upgrading from a 29gallon BioCube to a 90 gallon tank with a 30 gallon sump. I have and plan on keeping mainly LPS and softies for the moment. But I have no idea what size return pump (probably an Eheim, Mag or Danner) or what size power heads (probably two Koralia's) I will need. Any help would be appreciated.

Pump depends on drain rate. As for flow rate, try a mp10. around 2700 gph?

An mp 10 in a 90? If I am correct in thinking your talking about ecotech vortechs, I would reccomend 1 mp40s and some koralias at the other. Or for the cheaper route A few 1050s would be fine.

Vortech MP10s have been known to push 2,800gph
    More than 30x his tank.

I would go with 4 Koralia Evolutions. 2 750s and 2 1050s (one of each on each side). That would give you 40x tank turnover rate. Not too much for softies or LPS. I have 50x turnover in my 20g right now and it's not too much for just Zoas/Palys and GSP.

The gph amount is not the concern, but the distance the water can travel in a 4 ft tank.

I agree whole heartedly with the above post on 4 evos.
