I am putting in my RO system in the basement - right below my tank. I want to use an auto top of system but want to make sure I use the right pump to get the water from the basement to the tank.

figure the line will be 15' long or so - probably shorter more like 12' and I think I will use 3/4" or 1" hose?

I would think the 1" would be better for the water changes? My tank is 100 gallon.

I went with the SpectraPure Ultra-Precise Auto Top Off - looks like this was my best bet with out buying a top off that had a pump and replacing it.

I have been using the UPLC-II for going on 6 years now and its one of the best investments I have made in this hobby. My ATO is in my garage 35 feet away from the sump and display and i ran the line through a common wall, under some base cabinets and behind some baseboard to the sump and never had a roblem with it.

Happy wife Happy life.... I am now moving my tank to the living room. My sump will still be in the basement. I am looking now to have to pump roughly 40 feet or so.

SOOOOOO ----- Any recommendation on Pumps for my returns? I assume now I will not be using an in sump pump.

    Ideas?
