Pump size for a 150 phosphate reactor?

    What size pump is necessary for the reactor to function properly? There would be 1-1.5 feet of head loss.

    Maxijet 400 or 600 powerhead and you will still turn the valve down slightly. Another often used is the MiniJet powerheads.

    Yes, you will use the Phosban 150 ball valve to adjust it down to 60-80 GPH so it gets the correct fluidization and slight boiling or tumbling action. I use a MJ600 to power two reactors fed through a tee so each can be adjusted separately, one with GFO and the other GAC which require different flows and have different useful lives.
