I just added the reef keeper lite to my tank and i'm using the wavemaker function. There is an option to turn the pumps off at night. Should i do this to give the fish a break fro the flow? I also have a frogspawn and so zoas in the tank.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
When you turn the pumps off at night you decrease the available oxygen at a time when the livestock has the least oxygen available. If the ReefKeeper is offering a feature to simply turn off the wave maker option while leaving the pumps on that might be an option.

Since I do not have a ReefKeeper Lite I will defer to those that do, but typically the pumps should stay on at night.

I don't have a Reefkeeper either, but I have been looking into it.
I think that is what junior279 means to turn off the wave maker at night.

Even though the ocean doesn't stop at night it does change because of the tides. Flow may decrease at night. It's been so long since I've done a night dive I don't remember.

Leave the wavemaker function on 24/7.

I haven't noticed that night made any huge difference in surge underwater. Weather sure does though.....

FTR, the current may slow during full high and low tides, but it's for a fairly short period (app. 1 hour) and, since the lunar cycles are not an exact 24 hours, the TOD/N in which they occur is always changing.

Exactly. Your fish will retreat into the rockwork at night for their "break", same as on the natural reef.
