If purigen can absorb protiens, could I use it instead of a skimmer in a low stocked tank?:cheesy:

What does low stocked mean?? Purigen does not take the place of a good skimmer.

Purigen is a scavenger resin. It will absorb some proteins, lipids and other organics but it does not take the place of a skimmer. Purigen is a good product though, I have used it quite a bit in the past. Works well for "polishing" the water.

    Happy reefing!
