Purigen

i used to run it in my 75gal, and it was great. im planning to use it in my 14gal biocube as well

 

Ok, when I did a search for it on here, I only pulled up older threads. I just wanted to revive this one to make sure there isn't a reason why people stopped using or something.

 

I run purigen with GFO on my 30 cube and the combo is great. I put each one in it's own micron bag and put them into an aquaclear 30 HOB filter. Works great and the water is gin clear...good stuff.

still using Purigen to this day
I found it has helped polish the water more cleanly than carbon did alone
and I also believe it helped me reduce a low nitrate level (sub 5ppm on test kit) to 0 and helped to keep it there, with frequent regenerating / replacing

I have spares, so I can regenerate the one I remove at my leisure whilst a previously regenerated one is put back into the filter system

revving the thread...has anyone used "Renew" and is there some marked difference between it, carbon and purigen?
