So seeing the growth rate of that gorg. I got for free a while back I decided to test my luck with a purple brush. Any one have any past experience with these animals?

Is place high up in my aquarium where it receives a constant high flow from my pump.

Put it in yesterday and it stayed closed all day and night, a pleasant surprise when I saw it like this this morning

    Great work.

I have to gorgs, one tan and one red, and they both dont mind where they are in the tank, as long it is in constant flow. They have not shown a preference for indirect or direct flow.

I feed mine every day with a mixture of reef roids/marine snow/ plankton mixes and mysis/brine shrimp. They are showing really good growth :)

Good luck with yours. Looks beautiful :).

thx Ryan, yea its feeding im not exactly sure of. i raise my own Nauplius (my green chromis seems to be the number one fan of these) would this be small enough for them to eat? would this be considered a good diet for all corals?

I think they would be a good addition to a mix of things. I don't think it would be beneficial to just use those, and from my experience the best results come from a variety of coral foods being added for them.

I mix it up in a medicine cup and suck it up into a 50ml syringe with about 20ml of fluid and slowly flow it past the stalks.

Reefroids etc and other coral foods are really cheap and last a long time.
