    so if these are indeed star polyps then once they acclimate they should open up fine. this is what they look like open

    IF they are still alive :-/

    I took a powerhead to it and there was a good amount of debris coming off of it. Hopefully this does not mean it is dead. It has been in my tank for a good 5 days now. I am crossing my fingers!

    usually they dont open till a few weeks after introduction so dont worry
